Listed as house no 16 in the 1911 census. The head of the house is a Thomas McCan a native of Co. Sligo who was a member of the Royal Irish Constabulary attached to the RIC barracks up the street where the Whitehorses restaurant is now located. He lived here with his wife Anne a native of Co Laois and their daughter Mary Ann who was born in Co. Waterford. The census form is signed by the head of the family who in this case was Thomas, but he is not listed on the form himself as he is listed in the one for the RIC Barracks (he also signed it as the Enumerator).
