The Local Pub, Glantane

The Local Pub, Glantane

This is one of the oldest pubs in Glantane village and has changed hands a few times. It was owned by the Linehan family, the O Hanlon family and then by Dick Barrow (See headstone CO-GLSJ-0198 Glantane in www.historicgraves.com). It was leased by the Barrow family from the Noonan family in the early 1900’s who, in turn, were leasing from the Lombard descendants. Con O Hanlon was a central driver of Kilshannig GAA club throughout the 1960’s-80’s
