This was the original presbytery attached to Bweeng Church and is located in Beenalaght townland. It was here that An tAthair Peadar O Laoghaire resided as a very young curate while he administered in the Bweeng area during the 1860’s.This priest had a major influence in the Gaelic revival and wrote a number of famous Irish books. He also attended to the Kent brothers after the gunfight at their home in Bawnard in 1916 as he was Parish Priest in Castlelyons at that time.
