Dick Scanlan's House, Newmarket

Visited by Fidelma Mullane in September 2013, this single-storey vernacular house is located on the Charleville Road, Newmarket. Formerly occupied by Dick Scanlan, a Taxi Driver, whose father, a Knocknagree man, was a schoolteacher. According to Raymond O’Sullivan, the house has been un-occupied for over 60 years. The house (s) appeared on a postcard titled ‘Town View Cottages”.
