Gates' House

"I have spilt more Irish blood than any other Englishman in history"!!  This house was once the home of William Gates who founded of the first Cow & Gate creamery in Ireland in 1887.  William was not just a mechanical genius who put his practices to work in the mechanical extraction of cream from milk in his factory, but was also a qualified dentist!  Though his main occupation in Kildorrery was the running of his factory he offered a dential service of extraction only in his home and never charged for this service!  He ofter returned home from work to find long queues waiting for this service.
