Built in 1823 as a Market and Courthouse, the Market House operating on the ground floor and the Courthouse on the first floor. Built by the King Family.
The Market House in Stradbally, Co Laois is an open shelter of very distinctive pagoda-roof design, built in 1899 of steel construction on the Market Square of the town as a memorial to Dr William Perceval, a respected local doctor who had died earlier the same year.
