Groups audience:
A rural townland 4 km northwest of Ardmore village. Canon Power (1907) suggests the name refers to the 'ford of the termon cross' - indictaing it may mark a core territory of the ecclesiastical settlement in Ardmore. Another 'cross' placename can be found at Crushea (the cross of Aodh) approx 5 km to the east.
