A coastal townland in West Waterford. Located 2 km west of Ardmore village. Canon Power in his Place-names of the Decies reads Ardoginna as 'the height of the O'Kinnys, or Kenna's height'.
Who the Kenna's were is not clear and the nearby McKenna's Castle is named after a 19th century family (http://www.ardmorewaterford.com/mckennas-castle/).
